Are you a freelancer and confused about tax?! Join the majority. In this session, Twine will be joined by TaxScouts the online tax preparation startup on a mission to make taxes effortless.
Jon Harris, an accountant with TaxScouts, will walk us through some need-to-know tax basics for freelancers. He’ll cover a number of topics, including how to set up as self-employed, what you can and can’t expense, and upcoming deadlines. Jon will also dig into the things we need to know going into 2021, including how to lower your tax payments if you’ve had a bad year and information on SEISS grants.

About Speakers
Jon Harris, Accountant at TaxScouts Jon Harris is a TaxScouts accountant, graduate of Cambridge University, a Chartered Management Accountant (CGMA) and a qualified organisational psychologist. He started his career in the arts, producing and managing the finances of theatre shows in the West End and on tour all over the world. His practice "Accounting4Actors" provides tax and financial services to hundreds of self-employed clients in the creative and cultural industries as well as theatre, TV, film and music production companies. Jon is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Chair of Trustees of the Musical Theatre Academy.
