#tbt We love a Throwback Thursday here at the home of theatrical accounting, and because we are currently seeking a U-turn from HMRC on PAYE misallocations (see blogs from earlier this month), we had a little anniversary celebration today of this one from 13 years ago.
We persuaded HMRC to U-turn on the VAT-exempt status of takings for many touring theatre engagements. This led to a £50K VAT rebate for Shared Experience, who were touring “Jane Eyre” at the time.
Fingers crossed for another memorable U-turn soon.
